Fuck No Shitty People

Since starting this Tumblr, I’ve gotten a lot of anonymous questions in the style of “Can you write about [tumblr username]? They’ve done this, that and the other shitty thing.” Usually I haven’t heard of or paid much attention to this person, so I visit their Tumblr or google their username, and when I don’t find anything I’m stuck. I absolutely do not want to post false accusations against people, which is why I directly reblog things rather than summarize them, but I can’t respond to anonymous questions privately. So if someone has done something shitty and you want it posted here, please send me a URL or at least tell me where I can start looking. Thanks!

Hey, uh, I don’t feel comfortable endorsing you anymore because you’ve moved beyond documenting shitty things Riley has said and started reblogging things that are either incorrect (claiming that Riley never mentioned Desi heritage before getting into an argument about it (they had mentioned it before in unrelated circumstances) and had outright denied being part Desi (when they only denied being half Desi, which is a big difference)) or absolutely irrelevant (Riley’s photo of themself, a personal post labeled “self-hate post,” etc.).

That sort of personal vendetta shit really taints what the blog could’ve been, and I don’t support people who twist the truth, no matter what “side” they’re on.

[TW: slurs] Yo, if you think getting called a “dick-riding cunt bitch heaux” by someone who all those words apply to, aimed at people who are harassing that person and their friends, trying to stalk them, their family, and their friends, is really all that fucking important?

Personal harassment from one individual doesn’t excuse racist and misogynistic slurs which hurt people other than the harasser. Also I’m a bit uncomfortable with being called a “heaux” and having my actions called “dick-riding.”

I don’t believe that the actions of you and Kinsey are anywhere near as bad as the things perpetrated by the other three, for the record. Their actions were just extremely visible and easy to archive. My intent is not to harass, but merely keep a record of actions which some would consider, well, shitty.

The problem is that some people on Tumblr aren’t activists themselves, so it’s unfair to call them such, but they’re still highly influential among social justice activists to the point where ignoring their actions altogether would be irresponsible. Man, when I impulsively started this blog the other day I didn’t think it’d be so complicated!

Apparently Riley’s referring to Danielle Mertina. I know some sort of drama happened between them but I’ve never been able to find what started it all, so I have no understanding of the context of this post. Non-women using sexist slurs is usually frowned upon in social justice circles, though.

When I started this blog, my goal was to focus on people who aren’t already openly shouting support of oppressive ideologies the way radscum do. On the other hand, the more popular radscum on Tumblr love to twist facts or deny the shittier things they’ve done, so keeping an archive of their actions could be a useful thing. Does anyone know if an archive of radscum shittiness already exists? Searching for relevant info on them would be more emotionally taxing for me because their ideology makes me irrationally angry, so I don’t want to do that to myself if it’s not necessary.

Unrelated to your question, does anyone know of a better name for this blog? I’m thinking of just switching it to “fucknoshittypeople” for now until I can think of a better adjective.

Kinsey hasn’t done anything nearly as bad as Twiggy and Jamie; I’m merely listing people in alphabetical order. She’s never abused anyone, but I have seen her harass certain women of color on Tumblr in ways that made me extremely uncomfortable (I only have one example listed so far, but there’s one other I can think of that I’ll go searching for once I have the energy).
